Care Center Visitor Policy Update

Feb 13, 2023

Effective: February 13, 2023

  • All visitors are screened for COVID 19, including symptoms and exposure.
  • Visitors experiencing Covid symptoms1 or who meet the criteria for quarantine due to an exposure cannot enter the facility in accordance with our Infection Control Protocol.
  • Visitors2 are required to wear masks or face coverings, observe social distancing as appropriate, and use proper hand hygiene per our Infection Control Protocols.
  • Visitors for patients who test positive for Covid must wear PPE during visit (provided by Angela Hospice), and should limit movement to patient’s room and to building exit to mitigate risk of exposure to others. Visitors must remove all PPE and use proper hand hygiene prior to leaving patient’s room.
  • There is no limit on the number of visitors a patient can receive. Visitors may be asked to leave patient’s room for a short period of time so staff can perform patient care.
  • Visitors may exit building and will be permitted re-entry. A wristband will be given to indicate the visitor has already been through the screening process.
  • One visitor can stay overnight in patient’s room.
  • Visitor entrance/screening station will be open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. Self-screening for visitors is in place after hours.
  • Visitors may use common areas and must adhere to Infection Control Protocols (masking2, social distancing and hand hygiene).
  • Non-aggressive pets that are up to date on all required vaccinations, can be brought for patient visits without prior authorization. Pet must be on leash or in carrier at all times unless in patient’s room with door closed. Owner must be in control of animal at all times.

1 Visitors may be denied access or asked to leave based on screening process or if exhibiting cold/flu like symptoms.

2 Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear a mask.
